Eat the Frog! Great Tips for Life!

It is always wonderful to have the opportunity to sit and listen to an entertaining and knowledgable speaker.  I had the pleasure of listening to Annet King, the Director of Global Education with Dermalogica.  Annet's topic was based off of a book titled Eat that Frog by Brian Casey.  Annet gave us a reality check into our lives that applies to everyone no matter what your field of expertise may be.
So, Here are 5 things that I took away from today's stimulating session to aid us in our successes.

1.  We all must eat the frog!
Frogs are the things that we must face.  The things that
are the most difficult, create the most fear or are the most
     undesired thing to do.
2.  No one is coming to rescue you!
I think at one time or another, we all have had the
princess syndrome, where we look for our prince
charming to come and take care of whatever it is that we
     do not enjoy in life.
3.  Know what you really want!
Self-assessment can be difficult but when you know what
you want, you are more apt to go after it.  Is it a new
house, a new car, a new relationship or to get rid of the
old relationship, better finances or more free time?  Only
     you know!
4.  Set Goals to accomplish what you want.
Remember a goal without a deadline is just a dream.
You can't eat an elephant in one bite.  Break down your
goals into bite size pieces by creating a plan.
5.  Work your plan and make it a habit.
Take action for 28 days to create a habit.  Make it second
nature.  Remember talk is cheap.  ACTION is required.

Keeping these few tools handy for your success is key.  Use them to help enrich and take ownership of your life.
